Cistanche Stem Extract - 60 Capsules

Cistanche Flowers

Cistanche or Rou Cong Rong (Cistanche deserticola) is one of the commonly used drugs in Chinese traditional medicine to improve energy levels and strengthen the back and knees.

It is used to treat impotence and reinforce the vital function of kidney. It is said that many of the compounds found in Cistanche have antioxidant properties and protect the liver from toxins.

Cistanche has been used as a medicine for about 1800 years and is recorded in the Shennong Bencao Jing and Bencao Gangmu as a tonic. In modern-day Chinese herbalism, cistanche is used for the treatment of male impotence, seminal emission, general lassitude of the loins and knees, constipation and infertility.

The pharmaceutically active ingredients of cistanche include acteoside, echinacoside and cistanoside.
